Getting There

The City of DeKalb is 65-miles west of downtown Chicago and 45-miles southeast of Rockford. Plenty of weekend parking is available close to the dorms and start/finish.

Northern Illinois University is most easily reached by I-88.

To Reach the Convocation Center Start/Finish and Saturday Night on the Farm

Exit I-88 at Peace Road

• Turn Right onto Peace Road
• Turn Left onto Lincoln Hwy
• Drive approximately a half mile and the convocation center entrance will be on your right

To Reach Grant and Stevenson Towers (NIU Dorms) Located next to the Convocation Center

• Exit I-88 at Peace Road
• Turn Right onto Peace Road
• Turn Left onto Lincoln Drive North
• Turn Right onto Grant Drive East
• Arrive at Grant Towers
• Turn Left on to Grant Drive North
• Turn Left onto Grant Drive West
• Turn Rightonto Stevenson Drive North
• Arrive at Stevenson Towers

Parking

All event parking is located at the Convocation Center, 1525 West Lincoln Highway, DeKalb, IL in Lots C2 and C3.

If you are staying at either Grant or Stevenson Towers you can park right outside the dorm.

Grant Towers guest may use Lot J

Stevenson Towers guest may use Lot P

To reach either of these parking lots from I-88 please follow the directions listed above for Grant and Stevenson Dorms.

Travel from Outside Illinois

Airports & Transportation

Chicago has two major airports located within the city limits. O’Hare International Airport is located on the North side of the city and Midway International Airport is located on the Southside. There are many transportation options to and from both locations.
